Changing the world, one student at a time...
OUR MISSION
HUDDLE Learning, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) corporation and is an approved Supplemental Education Service (SES) provider in Kansas and Missouri, as well as several other states. HUDDLE remains devoted to “Changing the world, one student at a time.”
We serve students and educators by raising money for grant programs to support accelerating learning and getting student’s performance to their grade level and beyond. It is not enough to make small steps when a learner is two to three grade levels behind their peers. Progress requires large, significant gains. We help fund and deliver educational opportunities through grant-funded programs like neighborhood literacy centers or after school tutoring programs.
Embedded in the HUDDLE name is the guiding mission of the organization (Helping Utilize Digital Diagnostics to enable Learners to Excel). HLI is committed to the mission of establishing and administering funding resources for an educational delivery model that blends 21st century learning opportunities with collaborating community agencies.
Five Learning Success Factors
- All schools and students need less testing— up to three months of every school year can be absorbed with testing and test preparation.
- To get an underperforming student to grade level or above, requires that learning be accelerated— for a student that is two or three years behind to slowly gain a month or two in their academic level could sentence a student to years of performance below their actual grade level.
- Technology and Teachers, when working together, holds a huge untapped potential— it requires using assessment without testing to inform instructors at lightning speed, rather than asking them to wait months for test results.
- Students who perform miserably in school will never be who they were meant to be— if students don’t read proficiently by 3rd grade, many are destined to become unnecessarily challenged by today’s society.
- Few things feel better than changing the world one student at a time—each of us has the responsibility to utilize our own talents to create positive opportunities for struggling students.
How HUDDLE Helps
We look at learning and consider medical and specifically, brain-based reasons that some students struggle. Using over a decade of experience in operating programs for underperforming learners and schools, we guide and advise educators to implement and control successful learning programs in Kindergarten through Adult Education settings.
Strong partnerships are forged with local schools identifying the needs of their students and consulting with HUDDLE Learning to advise, choose, and help them implement learned methods of addressing those needs, based on over a decade of operating programs for underperforming learners and schools. This sometimes includes identifying and securing grant or matching grant assistance funds. Often, it involves data collection and reporting for accountability and demonstrating results. Always, the HUDDLE team assumes a consultative and advisory role, allowing the local school team to control the project.
HUDDLE Learning also recognizes that the last things schools need is more burdensome paperwork or reporting requirements. All requirements are simplified to only essential items, many of which are automated within the selected programs. All reporting requirements are agreed upon prior to actual grant awards.
